Rules

Behaviour

We (Cubs and Leaders!) go to Cubs to have fun.  In order to achieve this and keep everyone safe we need a few ground rules.

We expect all Cubs to treat others as they themselves would like to be treated.  If a Cub exhibits inappropriate behaviour or language they will be told what they have done wrong and asked not to do it again.  If this behaviour persists and depending on the severity of this behaviour we will contact parents and ask them to collect their child.  This applies to any Scouting event including camps.  We ask for your support in this matter.

Code of Conduct

1. Each Cub Scout will show respect to Adult Leaders, other Cub Scouts, parents, and guests.

2. Each Cub Scout will listen and pay attention to others, particularly the Adult Leadership Team, Young Leaders and Sixers and seconders at all times.

3. Each Cub Scout will respect other Cub Scout’s property and other Cub Scouts at all times.

4. Cub Scout uniform will be worn at every meeting unless directed not to by the Cub Scout Leaders or via the Programme.

5. No bullying (verbal or physical).

6. Must ask a leader if you want to use the toilet.

7. No one is to leave the event without permission.

Non-compliance with any of the above Code will result in the Cub Scout facing one or more of the following actions:

1. A Yellow Card (warning)

2. Two yellow cards over a period of one term will result in a Red Card and an exclusion from the next week’s meeting.

3. When on Camp, Two yellow cards will result in a Red Card and an exclusion from the next Camp activity. We also reserve the right to send you home.

4. Meeting with the adult leadership team

5. A letter of apology prepared by the Cub Scout.

6. On return after a red card the Cub Scout’s parent(s) are requested to attend.
