Essex international jamboree 1st August - 8th August 2020
This camp only happens once every 4 years, this is an international camp and at the last one in 2016 there was just over 10,000 scouts and guides, bookings opens september and there will be limited spaces so we need to know numbers by the end of july, they require a £50 deposit per person on booking, so we will require a £50 deposit by the end of July, if you have any problems please speak to a leader.
The cost of jamboree itself is £200 plus food and gas which is tbc but the estimate total will be between £250-£300.
We will hopefully do some fundraising events towards the end of the year/next year which will go towards lowering the cost of jamboree so when we do these events the more support we get the lower your cost goes.
You maybe thinking why our summer camps are normally below £200, this is because the Essex international jamboree is a extra fun packed week that takes 3 years planning, activities every day all day and discos,cafes etc in the evenings, the only time they are back at camp is meal times and bed time, this camp is definitely one not to miss. On top of all the activities they will get a chance to meet Scouts from all over the world, they will return home knackered and buzzing to tell you everything they have done over the week.
